Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Outlook 2007: Problem reading e-mail

We are working on this. The problem is related to trying to process these
Layout Tables in the Word Document Object Model, which is involved when
using Outlook 2007. The same messages are not an issue in Outlook 2003 or
the browser as you mentioned.

It is a difficult problem to over come but we will solve it.
Regards,
Eric

Eric,
Unless I missed your response, You never got back to me about the difficulty
I and others on this list are having with Jaws 8 & 9 are having reading some
e-mails having a table format. In particular, I find that both versions of
Jaws read the row and column numbering and some "boilerplate" about putting
the sender's e-mail address in my contact list but nothing else. Also, Jaws
9 sometimes skips a number of rows. I sent you a few e-mails I was having
difficulty reading. Any solution? One member of this list suggested I read
the e-mail through my browser on the e-mail's site of origin which does work
but it is time-consuming and we shouldn't have to do that. Thanks. Chris
Bell

Hi there,
Welcome to the list.
For me, as a Vista user, I find it to be impressive with JAWS 8 and 9. I
mainly use Vista Ultimate on my laptop but I sure did experiment with Vista
Business for few hours and it works just like XP. If you want to know more
about Vista and JAWS, check out Freedom Scientific's tutorial or Vista
tutorials done by me and Rick Harmon.
Cheers,
Joseph
