Is this true of all Internet pages, or just one? Are you talking about the Freedomscientific site???
First, check under tools on the menubar to be sure pop-up blocker isn't turned on. then try to open the link. If nothing happens, go to the top of the page with the JAWS cursor. There possibly you would find the message saying that Internet security has blocked this site from downloading. Clicking that message with the leftMmouseClick should give you a menu of choices as to how and whether to download items from the site.
