I'm not sure why this is happening group. But I used the link that Ming sent
to hear the Victor Stream demonstration. The program started just fine but my
Jaws was totally inhibited. I thought it was this old computer so I re-booted
and tried it again. The same thing happened a second time. It must be the
link itself or some wrinkle in the new updated Jaws 8 I have. Recently, I
downloaded the latest version. So far, I have had no trouble. "But that is a
real problem. Does anyone have an idea of what might cause a complete
silencing of Jaws like that?

For the sake of analysis, here's what I did twice. I pressed Enter while on
the link that appears in Ming's message. The pre-recorded program started
almost immediately but Jaws went silent and no effort I made to move out of
that screen would work at all. It was as if my computer was completely locked
up. The only alternative was an emergency re-start. If anyone else has
experienced this, please tell me if there's something I missed.
