Hi John, yes I've noticed this too. Another weird thing, particularly 
in Gmail's case anyway, is that despite I delete all the messages 
from the imap server, it doesn't get deleted off the pop server! So, 
for example, whilst I may have very few messages on the imap server, 
I could have hundreds, even thousands, of messages on the pop server. 
Mind you, since I'm using a third party client (Eudora in this case), 
JAWS and/or imap may get on better with that than Outlook Express, 
but we'll see.
