Hello All, I am sending this from my PC which is running Win2K Pro and JFW 6.0.
The first time I installed this OS on this machine, I was able to install JFW 6.0 with no problems. For reasons unknown, this installation of this OS has become unable to access the CD-ROM drives (2) and all attempts to re-install drivers for those drives have failed. Now, I have installed a new hard drive and re-installed the same OS from the same CD-ROM that was used to install the system that has lost access to the CD-ROM drives (the OS I am using as I type this message). However, when I try to re-install JFW 6.0 on that new hard drive with the freshly installed OS, I receive the following error message: Error! An internal error was encountered while modifying the video chain. (DCERR_IDD_NOT_FOUND) I have searched (to no avail) Google and the FS web site as well as the three e-mail archives of the jaws-users web site using the following search criteria: (DCERR_IDD_NOT_FOUND) DCERR_IDD_NOT_FOUND DCERR IDD NOT FOUND DCERR_IDD DCERR IDD I followed the English threads found in the 9 out of 7 hits returned by Google (see below) and found nothing. I found nothing on the FS web site. Anybody out there know what is the DCERR_IDD and how I can help JFW find it?
