I am able to edit MS Word file names and hear the characters whether I move one character at a time or move back a word at a time. I have notice that sometimes the JAWS key plus 8 won't read the file name when I use that command in the file edit box, but when I use the JAWS keyplus4 or 6 to read the partial line, it works.
