Hi Marilyn. What do you mean when you say "comes on". If you mean that JAWS 8 runs when you hit your JAWS hot key, you will have to either delete the hot key for JAWS 8, or change it, and then assign a hot key for JAWS 9. Unlike Window Eyes, JAWS does not automatically create a hot key when installing. To create, delete, or change a hot key assignment, highlight the JAWS icon on the desktop and hit the context menu key. Hit ENTER on Properties, and tab over to the hot key field. The CONTROL-ALT is already filled in. Simply type a letter, usually J, and tab over to the OK button and hit the spacebar. If there is already a letter in the hot key field, hitting the DELETE key will erase it. If you want to be able to launch both versions 8 and 9 with a hot key, you will need to assign a different hot key to each version.
