Hi, Have you tried to access any firewall settings or any of the options in the Norton Protection Center (or whatever it is called in the 2008 version)?
I would like to upgrade to the 2008 version, but I am concerned about the accessibility with Jaws. If you can access the options with the Jaws cursor, then I don't see that as a problem. I currently use the 2006 version and don't have any problems with access at all. I would just prefer to be able to use the new features in the 2008 version. Actually I was just looking at this right now. If you turn on your Jaws cursor, you can left click on any of the options and they work fine. There isn't any access with menu bar or applications menu, but the jaws cursor puts you right where you need to be. I just ran live update and system scan with no problems.
