I had what sounds like similar problems back when I had JFW 7. Dennis from FS tech support was able to walk me through fixing it, but I have no idea at this point what had to be done.

When I unload jaws and then try to re load jaws that some times fixes the problem. Some times though after re loading jaws it will start saying un red and that is it it won't read the subject line or anything and that is all it will do. Then when I go to the desk top jaws won't say anything so I un load and re load it again and then some times it will just make a pingging sound when arrowing through the icons on the desktop and in OE. Some times in OE along with it saying unread it will make a pingging sound before saying un red and some times it just will make the pingging sound with out saying un red. This doesn't happen that often but it happens often enough to be rather annoying and I so far have not found the reason for this or how I can fix it. I am using Windows xp for my os Other then this Jaws 7.0 is working quite fine.
