Jason: I have not tried to do what you are describing, i.e., selecting options. However, I don't think you really get to choose anything with the free version like select the scan time of day you want, etc. So, it scans every morning at 8:00 AM for me and that's fine. It does scan the whole system and takes about 45 min with my old computer.
