Sound Forge is a sophisticated sound editing program. It isn't cheap, and more program than the average user would need for simple audio editing. You can find a manual for both version 5 and 6 on the audio page at: www.blind-computing.com under the tips and tutorials heading. This might give you some idea of the program's capability.
