You will have to configure Jaws to use the USB sound device instead of the standard on-board sound device. The USB device is not the same thing as plugging a wireless headphone transmitter into the external speaker or headphone socket of your computer sound card, it is it's own unique sound device.
Just off the top I can't remember how to do that but there will probably be lots of traffic on using Jaws with external sound cards in the archives.
