Are you sure it's a graphic and not a button?

I place the jaws currtsor on the graphic, but when I go to lable it Jaws says it is not on a graphic. I've had a sighted friend verify that I am on the graphic. If I press the left mouse button of Jaws, it performs the function of the graphic. I have set the verbosity to "all graphics". I even tried having them identified automatically and Jaws didn't find any graphics. I'm using JFW 9.0 and Windows XP. Any ideas as to why Jaws won't recognize the sgraphics? Thanks!
