What jaws license do you have and what version of the operating system in each case?
My guess is that you have jaws standard and had xp home before and now have a version of vista that does not work with the standard version of jaws. HHowever, we need to know which jaws license and versions of windows you have and had to be more specific. IN the meantime, you ight want to try and put the free oepn source nvda on your system for non-expiring speech until you get your jaws license sorted out.
