If you wanted, you could silence JAWS by switching Screen Echo to None. The Seek Slider is the thing that moves in percentage when you go back or forward, thus it has to reflect that. (Percentage representing position in time in the track, etc., being played.) 20% of 4 minutes would be 48 seconds. It thus should indicate to you how far back or forward you have gone: so you might work with it. The seek slider has 20 percentage variable positions in a playing track or episode.
