The only thing Sygate would interfere with with any browser coming up is if the browser is being blocked from accessing the Internet. If your webpagecomes up, sygate's job is done.
I wonder rather if you are having a an MSAA issue with jaws. I vaguely remember jaws 6.1 and 6.2 sometimes having some problems with MSAA, i.e. with programs that used the virtual buffer. Try unloading and reloading jaws and see if that fixes the problem. Also if you have an earlier version of jaws installed on your system (jaws 6.0 or older)still, try if you can read your webpage with that.Alternatively, you might want to get a copy of nvda and see if your webpage reads with that. I am sure that as long as your webpage loads, you are having a jaws issue and not a problem with sygate.
