AS far as skype itself is concerned, no reason not to upgrade over 3.0. In fact, the audio quality is going to be slightly better in 3.6 as they have upgraded the codec used a few times since version 3.0.
The scripts work as well with 3.6 as they did with 3.0. actually, the latest version added some functionality. if that is needed or not is a matter of preference. As for the latest revision of the scripts, version 618, i heard recently on another list that they supposedly cause crashes when in a conference call. According to the source, the script developer has been notified of this but has not withdrawn the script from circulation. i do not know if or how much is to that bug as I am not using the latest version of the scritps though I am running the latest version of skype.
