Hi,

While Jaws 9 will work fine with Vista Business, one thing that you should
be aware of is that if you buy a system with Vista Business, you will
require a license for Jaws Professional to work with it.

Only Vista Home Basic and Vista Home Premium work with a Jaws standard
license. If you already have a license for Jaws Professional, then it does
not matter what version of Vista you get with your system. But, if you only
have a license for Jaws standard and buy a system with Vista Business or
Vista Ultimate, you will need a Jaws Professional license.

Ryan

If I'm not mistaken jaws will work with all versions of Vista.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws 9 and vista business/any trouble?

A friend purchased a laptop and was going to find a way to downgrade from
the already-installed Windows Vista Business, because we heard Jaws 9
wouldn't work well with Vista Business but might work okay with Home or
Premium. Well he went ahead and installed Jaws and other programs and while
I was there the computer seemed to work fine and the programs read okay.
Some of the programs were renamed, I noticed, and the control panel was on
desktop which is not the norm but could be an advantage. I wasn't really
there long enough to see them use a lot of programs but they were online
some and did some basic stuff, and Vista Business didn't appear too
graphical or challenging with Jaws 9. Because I am interested in this same
laptop because one can make payments to get it, I'm just wanting opinions
from the list about Vista Business and if anyone's run into major Jaws
problems using it. I'm certain one couldn't use a version below 9, but does
9 seem to cover some of the graphic problems and other differences that
Vista Business has? Thanks for any feedback.
