here's how I did it:
Alt key to open the menus list where you should hear File menu use the arrow
keys ....
Now right arrow over to the tools menu, arrow down to options hit enter
Now you should hear options general link help, now shift tab once, then tab
until you hear list box general one of eight.
Now arrow down to advanced, hit enter. now tab until you hear general tab
one of five, now tab over to update and hit enter.
Now press and hold alt plus shift and C, this should give you the check for
updates, but let me choose whether to install them.
From here you can arrow up or down to see the other choices.
And, I just did alt F4 to close the window.
Of course, your mileage may vary.

I found my answer on the archives, not by going into the archives but by
googling downloading and installing extensions in firefox. as it turns out
the latest update of firefox requires add-ons to be digitally signed before
it's installed and webvisum is not digitally signed so the work around would
be to revert to an previous version of firefox. but I don't know how to
prevent firefox from updating because if I uninstall the version and install
an earlier version firefox will just update itself again!

Kevin,
Look in your downloads folder. In firefox you will need to go to tools, the
first item in the dropdown box will be your downloads. Look for the file
name you just downloaded.
