I am intrigued that there appears to be another leister with my name! Not
that many people with David Griffith without an s on the name.

Anyway.

This advice is certainly correct for microphones connected to traditional
MIC or Line in ports. However, beware of USB microphones, many of which will
not allow you to "monitor" your microphone in the way you describe. I
discovered this to my cost after buying a Logitech USB desktop microphone.
Logitech technical support have now completely ignored my reporting of this
difficulty. Their "fix" does not work and it appears I am not the only one
who has not find it to work.

A search on Google will reveal loads of frustrated people struggling with
this limitation.

Regards

David Griffith
