Hi Adrian,

I was misunderstanding the post. I took it to mean that there was something
else in the message that should be copied into Notepad or Word that was
missing from the post. I wasn't thinking about copying the message Mr. Ed
was hearing, super script, into Notepad or Word. What a dipstick I can be
at times! LOL
Take care.

Mike,

Are you saying you don't get the concept or you've tried it and it doesn't
work? Jim suggests what I often do when I don't like the way JAWS is reading
something. I copy the text, in this case of an email, into Notepad. What I
do then is copy that Notepad text into MS word. But you could just read it
in Notepad. Call it a workaround. Now, I haven't tested Jim's idea with
anything that has a superscript because I can't think of a text that's given
me that trouble lately.

Hi Adrian & Jim,

What am I not getting / reading from Jim's tip? This is what Jaws reads to
me:

Jim said,

Try this. Copy to Notepad and see if you have the same experience.

What am I missing?
Take care.

Hi, Ed. Jim and Mike B posted suggestions that should both work. I know how
annoying the superscript/subscript announcements are.

Hi Adrian,
I get a daily Bible reading by email and that is where it says super script
before and after every verse number. So I am wondering if there is a way to
stop this from happening. I know I could stop Jaws from announcing "blank"
by going into the settings center as by Mike B. instructions. I looked
through that this morning but did not see anything to change to stop Jaws
from announcing it. Maybe I missed something and someone has an idea how I
can stop Jaws from announcing super script before and after every number in
my Bible reading.
Mr. Ed

So, to be clear, you use Outlook 2010 both for your bible reading and your
email? How strange, then, that the superscript verbalization was omitted
when you sent a message to the list. I figured you were reading the bible in
a different application. As I tried to explain, in my experience, JAWS
doesn't say "superscript" in Outlook, but it does in Word. Sorry, Ed, I'm
really not trying to give you a hard time, just to understand the problem so
that I or someone else can help.

Hi,
I use Outlook 2010 to read my daily Bible reading. Any ideas on how to stop
it from reading that?
Mr. Ed

Ed, I find that JAWS announces superscript in MS Word but not in my Outlook
email messages. So you may still have the problem. Which application do you
use to read that bible?

Hi Again,

Below is a sentence that Jaws announces super script on the April 24 date
below. This is what I am wanting to be able to stop Jaws from announcing in
my Bible reading.

So if you know how I can stop Jaws from announcing this please let me know.

If you want to know how Creators Update is going with screen readers, you
should mark April 24th on your calendars, as Jonathan Mosen (producer of
FSCast) will be talking about Creators Update at Accessible World's Tek Talk
