This happens in various apps. In fact, as I think about it, I'm not sure
it even needs to be in an edit field as such. This may happen on a web
page when I'm using the virtual cursor, for instance.
I'll try your suggestion regarding maximizing the screen, but I hope
there's a better solution than that.
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
Does this happen in all edit fields, only in those associated with a specific
application, or what? A basic suggestion would be to ensure the window is
maximized. The universal way to maximize a window is to press alt and the
spacebar together, release, then press the letter x.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS misreads text
I meant to mention that I'm using the latest version of JAWS 18 on a fairly new
Windows 10 computer. This seems to happen mostly when I arrow fairly quickly.
If I arrow slowly, it works better.
Thanks,
Jeff

I'm experiencing a problem with JAWS that's rather annoying. As I
arrow around in an edit field, JAWS sometimes reads the character or
line it just moved off of rather than the character/line that is
selected. This doesn't happen with every arrow movement, but often
enough to be annoying. Is there anything I can do about this?
