Once in a while we get an easy question. I try not to believe it will happen
very often, but I take them when they land on my desk.

In the replace field, leave it blank.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Optional hyphens
Hello all-
I just ran into something new for me. I scanned an article using Openbook
and the result is filled with divisions in words that jaws is reading as
"optional hyphen" and there are loads of them. I know how to use Find and
Replace in MS Word 2007 but what do I do if I want to replace all of the
optional hyphens with nothing? Is there a way.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Wayne
