Hello Lenny;

If you wish to create a shutdown shortcut,
Try the following;

1, desktop,
Ctrl+spacebar to unselect any icon,

2, applications key, down arrow enter on, new sub-menu,
Now choose shortcut,

3, in the edit box type in,
Shutdown -s -t 0

Now tab next, you can give the shortcut a name, example,
Shortcut.exe,
Now go to finish.
Now if you desire, you could create a hotkey for the shortcut.
If you wanted to have a shortcut to restart you would use the same steps,
instead of zero at the end, use, 01
Hope this helps.

    Hi Lenny just press the FN key witch is the function key next to the
left control key.
Just holdthe FN key down and press the alt f 4 as well.
Cheers Michael.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] can't find shut down or restart button

I very seldom use my hp laptop. I am using a wireless full size keyboard,
latest jaws 18, win 10. It looks like the only way that I can shut down the
laptop is with the power button. I thought in the past that alt f4 on the
desktop would reveal those options. I tried using the down or up arrow in
the running apps and also on the desktop.
Any help appreciated.
