I usually find friends or people I am interested in by using first and last names. Often the first result is not the one I want, but in the desktop website the search box has auto-completion, which is accessible by pressing Down Arrow to drop down the list box, which in addition to listing results eases the search for us by displaying additional information, such as college or work data, next to the person's name. Once you found the result you want, you can press ENTER on it and Facebook will open that user's profile page automatically. If the desired result is not in t first quick list, you can press ENTER on the See More Results item; the complete results page is browsable using normal navigation and reading commands.
