Hi all,

In older JAWS versions, perhaps until 9 or 10, I was able to configure the
current verbosity level for it to speaks control descriptions. In current JAWS
versions, however, even when I check that item to be spoken in my current
verbosity level settings, control descriptions aren't being read.

As an example, in common wizard dialog boxes, when tabbing to the Back button,
in addition to the control's name, type and access key (if these features are
turned on in JAWS Basics dialog and the current speech and sounds scheme, of
course), JAWS should also say “Returns to previous page.”

I think that there is something related to the FocusChangedEvent function, but
my knowledge of the JAWS scripting language is too basic.

Any help on this will be truly appreciated.

Have a nice week!
