Hello Mich,

It isn't clear to me if you wanted a program that will only translate the
letters into the appropriate numbers or if you wanted the program to also
dial the phone for you.

I don't know what else is available else where but I have a JFW script that
converts all alphabetic characters in the system clipboard into the
corresponding numbers on a telephone dial or keypad. The script speaks the
original contents and then the converted contents. How the clipboard
becomes populated with the characters of interest is up to the user. What
becomes of the converted contents of the clipboard is also up to the user.
I have this script in my default script file so it is available at just
about anytime.

hth

Bob

Subject: [JAWS-Users] looking for a program to convert words in phonenumbers
to numbers

Hi all. I just was at the jaws users sight. and I was looking around the
programs section. I thought that a wile back I saw a program there that
would convert the words in a phone number to numbers. For example say I
wanted to call 1-800-ToysRUs this program would do this. I looked around the
sight and didn't find this program. If any one knows what this program is
cald and can point me in the right direction to find it that would be grate.
Many Thanks. from Mich Verrier from New Liskeard Ontario Canada.
