I guess it's one of those websites that gets easier with use, like another one
that's been tormenting me this morning. Courts here in the U.S. are
increasingly agreeing that websites are a legitimate accessibility target, but
I suspect our Justice Department isn't actively pursuing these cases.
Meanwhile, we're stuck with websites like this that work, if you're diligent,
but that take more time than they should. I contacted the website that gave me
problems this morning with specific questions, and I'd urge JAWS uses to do the
same in these situations. Bit by bit, the message gets through.

Good morning Adrian;

Well, firstly, I don't see the the line near the top of the page you speak of.
So what I did was,
Enter on the link,
Trip advisor,
Now I bring up the links list,
Press the letter f until I hear, flights then press enter, Now here's where it
can get confusing, I arrow down the page a little, Or, first go to the top of
page, and press the letter "h", I hear/see!
Find cheap flights and airline tickets
list of 3 items
Link Return
Link One-way
Multi-city
list end

Buffalo, NY - Greater Buffalo International Airport (BUF) Edit City or Airport
Aug 16 Aug 23Clickable
1 Person, economy
Find flightsButton,
So in the edit field I was able to type in a airport, Example, Toronto, And
then press enter, all I'm saying is, it's a tedious task to navigate this web
site, no wonder my client is having a difficult time.

Hi, David.

I've just gone through the process up to the point of selecting Rome as a
destination. Let me see if I can recall the steps.

First, there is a line near the top of the page, as JAWS reads it, that asks
you to "continue" in English. Although JAWS doesn't say it's a link, it is.
I pressed enter.

On the next page, I went down to the link for "flights" and pressed enter.
ON the next page, I went down to "return" and made that selection.

Now I was presented with several options, one of them being an edit field that
shows the website recognized my location. That is, the field named New York and
the local airports. As I say, it's an edit field, so if I wanted, I could enter
another city or airport. Clearly, it's meant for my departure and ultimate
return location. I kept it at New York.

Right underneath that edit field is one that's unlabeled. I took a chance and
typed in Rome.

After waiting a moment, I refreshed the page with JAWS key+escape, and not only
Rome appeared, but also the relevant airports.

I stopped there.

I hope this helps you and your client get you over the initial hurdle.

Hello;

Well, trying to setup a trip,
On the web site is not easy.

After going to:
https://www.tripadvisor.ca/

I thought perhaps someone has used this site.
Let's say, for example, I would like to setup a trip for Rome.

Hi.
What are the difficulties you are having?
I had heard of the site before and may have even been there on some occasion,
but I can't really recall. Lookingg at it now, it seems fairly straightforward,
and potentially useful..I should start writing reviews.
Looks like they could use more headings on their site to make for quicker
navigation, but it's not too bad.

Good morning all;

Has anyone been successful using the link;

Trip advisor?

One of my client's asked me if there was an easy way to use the web site.

Perhaps some tricks/pointers in planning a trip, checking out different hotel
prices.

The link is;
