The steps that you provided for Openbook did bring back the recogniztion of the different scanners. This did restore the scanners within Openbook and DocuScanPlus. Try the following: Go to the advanced menu with the keystroke, Alt + A. Then press the letter, D, or arrow to, Device Selection, & press enter. With Device Selection open tab 1 time into a list of available options. Arrow up / down, & usually your scanner brand + WIA, is the the 1 to try first. Tab to, Okay, & press enter to save & close.
