Hi all -

Using outlook 2016, JAWS 18.4321, and the latest public Windows 10 build, I
notice that names in the address fields are not spoken. Haven't explored if
I need to change a setting, but the names have been spoken by JAWS in these
fields before the current version of Jaws. Perhaps being sure that outlook
2016 is updated to the latest version might help, which I haven't checked.
Also, I am going to check this problem out on another windows 10 machine I
have which is on the windows insider program; might make a difference with
the absolutely latest version of Windows but not sure.

Best,
James Gashel

Evening,
All was well under JAWS 18. It is only since I did the most recent Beta
upgrade, 18.0.4321. Good point to clarify that.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,
Are you using the Jaws Beta that you are having this issues with?
The Jaws beta is called Jaws 2018. Or did this just happen since you
downloaded the last Jaws update with is Jaws 18.0.4321?
Mr. Ed

This is not an issue with Outlook. The problem did not exist until the most
recent Beta update of JAWS. Using Magnifier and my little bit of remaining
vision, I can see that the Outlook feature is still working. Type in a few
letters and the list appears. However, using the down arrow key makes the
list vanish.

This JAWS is a Beta version put out to see where the problems may appear.
Often fixing one issue creates another problem.
Many companies require employees to use specific programs, often Microsoft
products. Tech support is very resistant to having to support alternatives.

Has anyone on the list experienced issues when running the spell checker in
Outlook 2016 365? Since the newest JAWS Beta, the checker consistently
crashes Outlook, but not when run as part of the send operation.
Rick

With all the issues I hear about with windows mail apps why not just use
thunderbird? I don't have any of the issues you all are having.
