Mike, on my system, the "dot" is pronounced. I'm also using JAWS 18, but it's been consistently this way as long as I remember. I wonder if a punctuation setting is involved. I'll think about it, but I'm sure others will post a good answer in the meantime.

Fortunately, I have a backup screen reader in addition to Jaws. Window-eyes seems to be the only screen reader that will actually read this info correctly. Hopefully they'll fix this in a future upgrade of Jaws. I'm currently using version 18.
