Ah, the dreams of Utopia. *grins* I think a lot of people might actually be against FS doing something like this. Not to sound cynical (I actually don't mean it that way), but they have enough on their plate trying to get JAWS up to speed, with all the updates Microsoft is pushing to Windows, as the new oS operating model seems to be "constant work in progress". Meanwhile, folks might be wary of niche software designed specifically for JAWS users when acceptable "mainstream" alternatives exist. I personally don't feel there's anything wrong with developing software with the blind in mind, but it doesn't really help people with "Job Access", if you know what I mean.
Outlook works pretty well for me, and if I want webmail, my ISP (who also provides my e-mail) has a very usable interface. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of cheez Sent: October 23, 2017 11:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] e-mail programs This may be a part of utopia, but I'm surprised Freedom Scientific hasn't created an e-mail program. They have a text editor. Why not something along the lines of Cox's Web Mail or [I think I'm getting this right], Microsoft's ORF.
