Hi Dave,

Actually, you can up and down arrow through IE11's autocomplete suggestions.
However, unlike the case with Outlook, you can't delete anything there.

I figured the answer lay in the files list you access via
tools/options/general, but the test I tried didn't help. Staples shows up in my
IE autocomplete list, which I'd very much like to eliminate, but I can't find a
single Staples file in the temporary files list.

I'm not sure there is a good answer to your question. As you realize, you can
delete everything, in which case your autocomplete list will be empty, but
apparently not individual autocomplete addresses. Still, you may find a hint at
a webpage I found. You're not going to be one of those listers who bites my
head off for giving you a link to do your own exploring, right!! So here it is:

Mike,

Unfortunately the place I'm having problems is in Internet Explorer, in the
address field. Not sure one can up/down arrow through suggestions.

Hi Dave,

See if this will help:

AutoComplete

Have you ever started typing name or email address into Outlook's To field
only to have the feature automatically fill in the wrong address? It's very
easy to clean out infrequently used names in Outlook's AutoComplete. Start
typing an email address. When Outlook displays address options, use the Up
and Down arrow keys to highlight the name/address you want to remove, and
then press DELETE. Press the Delete key to remove the name.

Take care. Mike. Dodgers, try again next year!

Windows 7 32-bit
IE 11.0

I have an entry that always pops up first, and I'd like to purge it from the
list of Auto Complete entries. These are apparently not in the registry. Any
clues how to delete just one, rather than purging the entire history or
temporary files?
