The best way that I found is to add a second sound card and dedicate it to
jaws.You can pick up aninexpensive sound card and and computer speakers.

if firefox press control m. but this only works while you are still on the
web
page. you have to do this with every web page you go to that wants to play
adds.

When I go on some web sites, they may start playing commercials, music, and
videos. How do I stop the audio so that I can read through the web site
with jaws so that jaws is not drowned out with these distractions? Thanks.
