I've never had to do this. And considering how many things get broken or settings changed back from my preferences when Microsoft forces their updates, I'd be very annoyed if I had to do this. I've been interested in computing for a long time and I understand both sides of the argument, but when you spend so much time tweaking, fixing and re-installing after an update instead of actually getting important things done, something is very wrong with the system.

So just go ahead with the install and windows will remove apps. Then yu will have to install them again.
