I have also recently seen this behavior in edit fields on certain websites, and I have not yet updated to the most recent version of JAWS 18.
An example of this was when trying to enter my user id and password on the United Healthcare website. I will need to try NVDA the next time I encounter this and see if I have any better luck than with JAWS. ________________________________________ From: JAWS-Users-List [[email protected]] on behalf of George Martinez Sr [[email protected]] Sent: Friday, December 15, 2017 2:15 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] Fields on web site not activating Hello all, This week I updated my JAWS 18, also using Windows 10 Creators. Default browser is Chrome. Today I went onto GoToMyPC to check a connection and heard TWO little pop sounds when I arrived. That sound is the one I usually hear when a data entry field is open & ready. When I looked with MAGic my cursor is blinking in the data entry box but no entrhy is possible. I cannot TAB or Shift TAB nor does hitting enter work. I thought it was an issue with Chrome so I pulled up Firefox and it gives me a funny message about my screen reader and needing to upgrade to their new produce. So, adios Firefox. Then I tried IE-11 and I have the same problem at the same web site! I went back to Chrome and tried my online banking site and that still works. Go figure. It appears there is some new issue in JAWS with this last update but not on all web sites. George A.
