To show filename extensions in Windows 10: 1. Go to the start menu. 2. Type "file extensions" without the quotes. 3. Press ENTER on the result that is called something like "show or hide file extensions in Windows 10". 4. Press Tab. 5. Go down through the tree view until you get to the item that is called "hide extensions for known file types". 6. Change the item's state to off. 7. Press Alt+F4.
