Indeed.  Firefox/Google captchas use the I am not a robot facility and lately when the captcha pops up the x is checked and I get a free pass.  I am also finding that the audio rendition of the visual captcha is a lot more, well, audible, than it used to be.  So some improvement, anyway.

The I phone solution sounds marvelous - expanding the tool kit of techniques.
