What seems to be happening is while I'm typing suddenly The icons just show up and of course then I can't continue typing. I'm not sure what program or code my forum uses. Almost like the icons are scrolling?? Hard to describe. I use a braille display. I have refresh turned off. I also have forms mode set to manual, both of which seem to have helped, but not with this particular issue. Some forums have a checkbox to disable these things, and I do. Others don't seem to have that checkbox. They don't conflict with JAWS. And it's part of the forum code. Don't know what kind of forums you are on but on the PHB (or whatever it's called) stuff, you can disable smilies from showing up as icons when they are encountered, but that's not really what you are talking about, I don't think. Anyway, you can probably do all these things from the keyboard/with commands enclosed in brackets; the toolbar and such is just there to help people.
