We can hope right? -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Monday, January 15, 2018 11:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications I, myself, have had the same situation; however, it is when I am on a webpage or web browser. -----Original Message----- From: Dennis Long Sent: Monda y, January 15, 2018 10:08 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications Have you contacted Freedom directly? -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Adrian Spratt Sent: Monday, January 15, 2018 10:32 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications Yes, I've reported this problem here before. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jason White Sent: Monday, January 15, 2018 8:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications I've noticed that if I load a document into the virtual viewer (e.g., from Adobe Reader or OCR results), then switch to another application (e.g., Microsoft Word), write some text, and finally switch with Alt+Tab back to the virtual viewer, the virtual cursor is placed at the start of the document rather than at the point where it was before. Editing/reading text in another application seems to result in loss of the virtual cursor position in the virtual viewer. This is more than mildly inconvenient when trying to take notes from a document, for example. Have others seen this, and is there a known solution? I'm running JAWS 2018 1712.10 under Windows 10 1709 with the latest Microsoft updates applied.
