Hey.

I should probably know how to do this, but I'm kind of drawing a blank at
the moment. I'm having some issues with programmes running but not having
windows open. I don't necessarily want these programmes running, but unless
I check task manager or process explorer, it's easy to forget that they're
there. Plus, sometimes in Windows 10, application windows just seem to
disappear or minimise somehow in a way that they are no longer accessible
from the windows-t taskbar, view, JAWS window list or any other obvious way.
They run as seemingly background processes and continue to access the hard
disk etc, and the only way to close sometimes is through task manager.

Now I have read a bit about this and it's been suggested that the icons are
in fact there, but hidden, and that I can click the taskbar properties and
find "show hidden icons" to reveal them. But, how do I right click the
taskbar? You're supposed to do it in a "blank" area. When you get to the
taskbar, as far as I know, and don't use the mouse, the cursor is always
focused on an item in the bar, so right clicking on it gives you options for
that item. I have looked in taskbar settings and while I see a way of
choosing which icons show up in the taskbar, I'm guessing the only way to
get to "show hidden icons" is through properties. So, I guess what I am
asking is, how do I click on a "blank" area of the taskbar using JAWS and
the keyboard?

Cheers.
