Kevin, As Dave posted, you can navigate with F6. However, to switch conveniently between a list of messages and the list of folders, I use tab and shift-tab. Shift-tab takes you from the message list to the folders list, while tab does the reverse. Like F6, continuous tabbing rotates you through various other branches of Outlook 2010 before returning you to where you began.
