Makes sense, but two points: 1. I didn't give her full name.
2. My reason for putting a first name there was to try to ensure this lister realized I was responding to her post which, as I explained in my message, I'd inadvertently deleted. No one else was responding to her situation, which seemed pretty serious. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Monday, January 22, 2018 7:55 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows update, Laura's query Without looking at the moment my memory is telling me that placing member names in subject lines is something we do not want. -----Original Message----- From: Adrian Spratt Sent: Sunday, January 21, 2018 6:53 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Windows update, Laura's query I've noticed no reply to Laura Richardson's question about how to handle Windows update notifications. I'm sorry her message isn't included here. I deleted it when I was cleaning out my "Delete" folder. Laura, I don't have Windows 10, but this may get you started. With Windows 7, the Windows update icon goes into the system tray, which I access with JAWS key+F11. Arrow down to and click on that icon to start the process of downloading and installing the updates. There's more, but I'm pretty sure it's different from here with Windows 10, so I hope others will follow up.
