Hi Michelle. What software did you have on your old system(s)?
Windows 10 has some native OCR functionality built into it. I am not sure how it works. I do not think it can be invoked without some kind of application calling it. I know Microsoft oneNote (sp) does this, and I believe NVDA now takes advantage of this function as well. If you have JAWS 2018, the "Convenient OCR" feature that's a part of the package is supposed to be considerably better than that of JAWS 18, which is what I use. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michelle Clark Sent: February 11, 2018 11:41 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] OCR Question On my systems in the past, there was OCR, but my current syst using Microsoft 2013and Windows does not seem to have one. Do I have to go out and search for one to purchase or should something I already may have just need to be evoked?
