Hey.
What is happening when you play these files in vlc? I am using 3.0.1 and the
playing of mp3s at least appears to be working as well as video playback
does, on this end.

Hi Hareth,

Thank you for your reply, but I did all you suggested, but I just couldn't
get VLC to play well with my MP3 & WAV files. I'm sure it's a bug of some
nature because reinstalling didn't fix the problem. I'll install VLC 3.0.0
& see if that works as well as the 2.2.8 version.

Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

Hi Mike,
VLC 3.0actually working much better than the previous one.
If the mp3 or any file association fail to work after installation, do this.
select a file to play, press the applications key, Arrow down to "open with,
>From that menu If you on windows7 I cannot remember the exact term, but its
easy to tell its something like.
"choose another app" or "choose another default app" or similar.
from the next window you'd choose VLC, but make sure to check the check
mark, that allows that app to always open that file type, then press the OK
button.
forgive my lame English.
I could post the latest hotkeys list for VLC very soon if people needed it.
Best
