The reason why you're hearing, desktop one, instead of just desktop, is because windows 10 has the ability to create secondary desktops, called virtual desktops. For fun, press control windows |D, then press insert T, you will hear, desktop 2. You can move between desktops with control windows right arrow and control windows left arrow. I haven't yet found a use for this, but I suppose if you were using the same computer for home and work, and you wanted to keep your opened programs separate, it might come in handy. You can close the virtual desktops with control Windows F4.
