Even after invoking reader mode, you still have to navigate to the actual article. Heading, next block of text that isn't a link, etc. You're not going to be placed at the start of the article or whatever it is you're trying to read. Jim, I also have a subscription to the New York times. Like you, I press alt-control-r. Then I press the JAWS command for "say all." Nothing happens.
