It has been a month since I first contacted AVG tech support about the 
problem I was having.  On the exact 1 month anniversary I sent them a 
message asking about the status of the situation.  Here is part of the email 
I received.

Quote.

Dear Max,

thank you for your email.

The fix for this issue is already prepared and is being tested along
with other fixes. It should be made available in the second quarter of
this year.

We apologize for this inconvenience and will inform you as soon as it
is publicly available.

Thank you for your patience.

End quote.

That gives them until the end of June.
