I've asked about this before, but my frustration and confusion continue. In the JAWS settings, there's a check box that says:
Show level and position. It's checked, by default, it says. However, the results are variable in the folder and file lists in Documents. I have Windows 10, 1803, and the latest version of JAWS. Yesterday in Documents, using insert-tab, JAWS said that a folder was 3 of 48, which is precisely what it should say. The status line said there were 48 folders, and my curser was on the third one down. Today, it's gone back to saying 3 of 29, and for the last folder, it says, 32 of 32. My screen is maximized. I tried restoring it, and nothing changed. But the inconsistency baffles me. Window-Eyes consistently reports the correct position, and JAWS is set to do so. Is this a bug that could be fixed?
