Interesting, if you can, try it with NVDA running and see if you have the same issue. If you can get some help, try it without JAWS running. There were some issues with Excel a while ago with JAWS 2018 which have been fixed, not sure if they effect JAWS 18 or not but this would be a good way to try to find out initially.
